A Table Setting for Every Occasion.
Whether you celebrate the festive season or not, one thing is for sure, you’re going to be entertaining. Below we’ve styled two tablescapes for two different occasions, using our tableware collection from HAUS.
A Formal Festive Dinner
Impress family and friends with this festive dinner tableau. Forest green napery is complemented by contemporary stoneware dinner sets and the new, flatware collection. The scheme has been given a modern twist by mixing and matching the dinnerware and flatware, while the napery is kept uniform.
As for how to set a formal table, etiquette consultant, Pamela Hillings, has the following advice, “Once you realize table setting is based on logic, things become less intimidating. For example, you begin eating a meal by using the flatware on the outside left and right and then work toward the plate as the meal proceeds. Glassware is set above and to the right of the dinner plates, while side plates sit above the dinner plate and to the left. Flatware should align with the bottom rim of the charger or large plate, which will be removed after everyone places their napkin on their lap The water glass stands above the dinner knife, white wine to its right, and red wine top centre.”
A New Years Day Breakfast
For some, the morning after the night before may be a little rough, for others it’s a time of reflection and anticipation for the upcoming year. Whichever side of the table you’re at (pun intended), you can’t go wrong with a bright and colourful breakfast tablescape to welcome in 2018.
Here we chose a colour scheme of yellow and Christmas rose-red with the napery. Fresh fruit and flowers add a freshness and a further burst of colour to the scheme, while crisp white stoneware and bronze-hued flatware add an air of sophistication.
