Hertex at Design Joburg 2017
Who wasn’t excited to hear that Rooms on View was making its return to the spotlight at the 2017 Design Joburg exhibition. We definitely were and jumped at the chance to debut our newest fabric collection, Terra Nova, in collaboration with local interior designer, Donald Nxumalo at the event.
Design Joburg was curated by designers Andrea Kleinloog and Megan Hesse of Anatomy design, who chose to focus heavily on collaborations. Said Kleinloog before the show, ‘Our collaborative approach will combine interesting and resourceful exhibits, cutting-edge technology and the best craftsmanship. We want to create a refreshing and rousing show where visitors, the public and industry alike, can find inspiration, suppliers and solutions all in one space. We want to break the mould of a traditional expo and create a live Pinterest board.’ And who doesn’t love Pinterest?
The Hertex Terra Nova stand:
In keeping in line with the idea of collaboration, the Hertex stand was decked out in fabrics from our new Terra Nova collection. A flurry of colour, pattern, print and texture, the Terra Nova stand was a treat for each and every sense. Desert-inspired hues were juxtaposed with bold, industrial textures and fluid lines.
Some of our Favourites:
The show was an exciting get-together of local talent, some of which we’ve highlighted some of our favourites from this year’s show below.
